GameSpy.com - Gaming's Homepage
While CNN may be extolling the "hipness" of American gamers (we still have doubts), let there be no mistake that Japanese gamers are a sad, lonesome bunch. Essentially graphical "Choose Your Own Adventure" games, players look through the eyes of a young man and try to woo a variety of girls my making the proper dialogue choices.
Crowds, bookings suggest '04 travel upturn
NEW YORK - A sagging economy, 9/11 and SARS. Fear of flying, war
in Iraq and bombs in Bali. A weak dollar and the high price of gas.
Rain here at home, April through July, and a heat wave in Paris.
Is it any wonder that big vacations went out with the Wall Street
boom?

Adventurer Khoo all set for fatherhood
SINGAPORE : Parenthood will be the next adventure for Khoo Swee Chiow and his wife very soon, when she delivers in 2 weeks.
Mr Khoo, who turned 39 on Sunday, arrived home on Sunday morning after his 8,000-kilometre cycling trip to Beijing.
It was a visibly thinner Khoo, after 8,000 kilometres of cycling and a bout of diarrhea had stripped 6 kilogrammes off his lanky frame.
But his wife, Tok Wee Leng, was just glad he is back in one piece.
"I'm more relieved now, at least he's here. I'm ready to give birth anytime! I told my baby boy to wait for his daddy to come back," said Tok Wee Leng.
Wedding wanderlust
Over the next four years the young couple, born into high society, journeyed through Tibet, Mongolia and Western China, taking thousands of photographs and documenting cultures since vanished from the face of the earth.
Now, armchair travelers can share the Wulsins' remarkable adventures in "Vanished Kingdoms," an exhibit of stunning color images at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem.
Through grit and good fortune, the Wulsins captured ordinary moments in the lives of nomads and shopkeepers, monks and opium farmers from the Gobi Desert to the grasslands of Mongolia.
