The winter break is a great opportunity for parents to take advantage of the time for fun and learning time together. "Posted at 3:53 PM EST (2053 GMT) Dec. 9th, 2004 -- The Vallejo City Council meeting tonight will determine if Six Flags will receive an extension on its contract with the city of Vallejo to purchase the Marine World property for $52 million. The vote comes a few months after Six Flags pulled out of its plans to purchase Marine World. The current agreement has Six Flags operating the park while the city owns the park. Both share in the revenues of the park with the city receiving about $2 million per year from the park. If tonight's vote passes, a new agreement will be made with Six Flags if it does decide to purchase the park by 2010."

" i can’t believe i am still up. sometime around evening, my heart started to itch. first stop : www.airfares.com.sg. mein gott $299 to colombo! that’s a good deal. despite the grenade attack recently at some bollywood event which killed a couple of people and injured many others, i really feel like going. unfortunately to realise, my travel kakis aren’t available in january. booo! after consultation with a couple of people, was told it’s unwise to travel alone in sri lanka. double boooooooo!!! a friend and a sister went there and were harrassed. another friend was grabbed at the market. and a male friend said his hotel room was bombed. triple booooooooo!!! i was thinking of using the public transport. i can’t afford to book a jeep all for myself. it’s also boring to be sitting alone in a jeep with a driver. booooooooo!!! booooooooo!!! boooooooo!!!

i coaxed myself and decided not to go anywhere.

BUT i couldn’t sleep, and took out my south-east asia lonely planet an hour ago to read. then suddenly my heart protested "buay tahannnnnnnnnnnnnnn laaaaaaaaaaa!!!! i want to go somewhere!!! i want to go somewhere!!!! i want to get out of singaporeeeeeeeeeee, i must go out and playyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!"

and so i logged on to www.airfares.com.sg again. ehhhh, got chiang rai / chiang mai promotion also! $295 on thai airways. i’m just worried that there are no more seats for early january. i am going to call them tomorrow.

since sri lanka sounds like a no-go (boooooooooo!!!! ), i’m VERY sure that i’ll be all right in north thailand ALONE. i want to go for a five-day WHITEWATER RAFTING & TREKKING to see my most favourite people in the world. who else lah but the mountain tribesmen!!!! wuahahahahaha!!! a friend of mine was telling me i should just marry one of these hmong people since i am so in love with them.

me & my in-laws (LOL). look closely, i do share some of their features, right? wakakaka

but you see lah, the itinerary is so exciting and affordable (like around S$100 for everything). can die, man!

Chiang Mai Whitewater Rafting

Our full day trip will begin from your hotel / guest house or our designated "pick up point" . We will drive north out of Chiang Mai’s city center, before arriving at our private camp in Sop Kai. We gear up our rafts and "put in" . We push our way through about 20-25 rapids ranging from grade 2 to 4. The day is filled with spectactular jungle views as we pass some river side hill tribe camps, an elephant camp, while observing wildlife in its natural habitat.

Continuing along the river, the gradient becomes steeper and the rapids become more frequent, encountering rapids with such names as "Dragon", "Swimmer’s Chute" and "Near the Wall ". We finish our day’s trip at our private river camp, then return to Chiang Mai.
