"No band in their right mind sets forth into the world of music intent on remaining on the local scene. The novelty of non-paying promoters, less-than-desirable sound systems and sweat-drenched vans eventually runs thin with even the most devout indie kid. Though success will elude the majority of young troubadours hoping for that radio hit or video on MTV, it's something band members dream about - even if it's only a mere declaration in the back of their mind.
For Thursday, a New Brunswick, N.J., post-hardcore sextet, the dream has come true."

"Office upgrades
When furnishing - or refurnishing - the office, not only furniture but also equipment, from PCs to fax machines, must be considered.
Businesses use hundreds of types of office supplies and equipment; from small consumables such as pens and paper to big-ticket items like computers, furniture and safety equipment. While most of these items are essential to the efficient running of your office, many businesses still don't recognise office supplies as an important issue. Thoughtful consideration on buying office supplies can save your business money as well as helping to keep them running efficiently.

"NATCHEZ, Miss. (SNS) - Nissan has been among the busiest automotive manufacturers in the world for the past couple of years, filling nearly every niche with new sedans, sports cars, sport-utility vehicles and trucks, to say nothing of a fleet of upscale vehicles stretching from here to Infiniti.
But just when it seems Nissan must have exhausted its output of new vehicles, as well as its plant capacity in Smyrna, Tenn., the Japanese company has come up with a new Quest. Literally.
This past week, Nissan introduced its 2004 Quest, a completely redone version of the former minivan, which was similar in name only."

"By Barry Coughlan
ITALIAN coach John Kirwan was the last man in the queue to buy a drink for New Zealand referee Kelvin Deaker after Saturday's RBS Six Nations clash at Lansdowne Road.
"I thought he was a bit harsh on us most of the day." said Kirwan, who was disappointed with his side's second-half scoring effort.
"We had the possibility of scoring two tries in the second half that might have made all the difference."
Kirwan didn't have any complaints about the weather, but noted it was more suited to sailing than rugby.
"There were two teams out there and both had to cope with the conditions."
Central America services impacted by mixed fortunes -

"	The Central America
trades are seeing a checkerboard of mixed fortunes, with some carriers experiencing
booming business and adding services, and other cutting back as volumes taper
off from last year.
	Carriers specializing
in handling cargoes for apparel manufacturers are moving to add sailings and
accommodate more business, which is still growing as a result of Caribbean parity
legislation in 2000 that helped level the playing field with NAFTA beneficiaries
in Mexico."

German Yachtie Fined on Customs Charges
A German yachtie appeared in Invercargill District Court today for failing to meet Customs requirements on departure from New Zealand.
Klaus Uecker took his yacht into the Fiordland area after telling Customs he was departing for Australia.
The yacht, the Boomerang II was seen over several days moored in Breaksea Sound.
The law requires all sea craft, no matter what size, to obtain a certificate of clearance from the New Zealand Customs Service on departing from New Zealand for a point outside New Zealand."

"MCA/RYA JOINT STATEMENT ON ORAL INFLATION LIFEJACKETS
Posted on Friday 12 March @ 15:38:45 |
Charter companies will have to issue automatic lifejackets to clients or have manual gas jackets inflated whilst being worn as MCA and RYA act together to prevent future accidents
A Prohibition Notice was served on an operator when it was discovered by MCA that the oral-inflation-only lifejackets, though approved, were not being used properly. It is the duty of the MCA to protect all those that go afloat on vessels flying the Red Ensign and the MCA believed it had to act before any accident occurred involving these lifejackets on charter yachts."
