"Private family services will be held for George L. Cannaday, 82, of Lompoc, who died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Olive View Hospital in Sylmar, Calif.
George was born May 27, 1923, in San Francisco, to William and Rose McKamie Cannaday. He served with the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring in 1963 as a master sergeant. He then joined the staff of ITT-Federal Electric Corporation, working on South Vandenberg as an electronics technician for 30 years.
In his earlier years, George volunteered as a leader with the Boy Scouts and also enjoyed scuba diving. He always had a love for animals, especially horses and cats."
