"This expedition is designed to take advantage of the best wildlife and exploring opportunities in the area. We will keep ourselves open to the possibilities. Our routing will include the islands listed below, although the order may vary:
Islas San Esteban and San Pedro Martir
In the morning land on Isla San Esteban for a walk up a desert wash, to search for desert birds and the endemic pinto chuckwalla - a fat, harmless desert lizard. In the afternoon visit Isla San Pedro Martir, a 1,000-foot-high guano-covered island that is home to thousands of seabirds."

"Since his documentary about everyday life in Iraq came out last fall, Mike Shiley has gotten used to a variety of explosive reactions to it.
"You get the zealots at the far ends of the spectrum who don't like the fact I didn't produce their vision," Shiley said. "I don't know if it's the right wing or the left wing that's more venomous."
The Portland filmmaker calls his film "biased but balanced. It may not be balanced in the center."
Local people can decide for themselves what they think of "Inside Iraq: The Untold Stories" when it is shown at the Kelso Theatre Pub this Saturday and next."

"The riskiest thing you can do is go underwater underground, caving experts warn.
Especially if you are not equipped with special helmets, lights, wet suits and oxygen tanks designed for the narrow confines of underground waterways.
But that apparently is what four people did Thursday in a cave on a Provo hillside. Their bodies were recovered from a water-filled tunnel. Police say they were wearing only shorts, shirts and sandals.
"Diving underwater is just really dangerous. It's the most dangerous sport in the world," said Dale Green, a veteran spelunker of 50 years. "Caving in water is a sport in which any accident can prove fatal."
