"The Hyde Park
Elementary School/Community Playground Renovation is nearly complete as
recently installed swings and an additional (85 cu. yds.) of wood chips
was spread over the playground. Volunteers came to spread the wood chips
which were needed to meet the 12 inch depth recommendation around the
structures and Pettinelli & Associates of Williston, a manufacturers
representative of Miracle Recreation Equipment, installed the remaining
swings.
The Project
began in the fall of 2003 as parents and school officials began to talk
about the safety of the pressure treated structures installed 18 years
previous."

"Since 1993, many club members have enjoyed participating in a volunteer ski patrol at Mount Rainier National Park during the Winter season. Our club helps out by setting poles to mark the trails, and helps to be the "eyes and ears" of the Park Service. which does not have the resources to be everywhere at once. Each year the Club has been instrumental in assisting with a lost or injured skier and could be first on the scene if an accident or mishap occurs. Nordic Patrol participants carry Walkie Talkies and can help make sure the right kind of help gets to where it needs to be as soon as possible."
